Andy Stanley And the Authority of The Bible

Andy Stanley makes many statements in this interview that cause me concern. The greatest concern however is when he says he doesn't believe the account of Adam and Eve because the Bible says so, but because Jesus said so. The obvious error is to pit the Bible vs the words of Jesus. We know that Jesus had a very high view of scripture saying they could "Not be broken" (John 10:35).

We are told in 2 Timothy 3:16 that ALL scripture is inspired by God and in
2 Peter 1:21 that scripture did not come from the will of man but of God.

Andy Stanley, whether he is aware of it or not is attacking the authority of the Bible and is actually undermining the authority of God's word. It is not just the "red letters" that are inspired by God, but every word.

To his point that the Bible is not our foundation but Jesus, it is a SERIOUS error to try and separate "special revelation" which informs us of whom Jesus is and what He has done from who Jesus is. The two while not identical can not be,separated in mans salvation because one must have special revelation in order to know what we must believe. Unless God tells us via special revelation (His word) we know nothing of the redemptive work of Christ and what one must believe in order to be saved. Andy's statements are wreck-less and dangerous in this interview. Not trying to be offensive but we must defend truth even if our favorite teacher Crosses the line into dangerous boundaries.

People think less interested, I think, in claiming that God is doing certain things, or saying certain things, or that Christ is doing things or saying certain things then they are at saying the Holy Spirit did this, the Holy Spirit said this, the Holy Spirit is producing and generating this that there just seems to be no restraint on the things that are blamed on the Holy Spirit."

I know many love Joyce Meyers and why she has some good things to say at times when it comes to theology the woman is dangerous. Please look at this picture and you can read what she teaches and the source where they are getting it from.  I am not trying to attack  her personally but her teaching is dangerous because she is not rooted and grounded in Biblical theology.

Steve Harvey on TBN

Is a Christian promised health and wealth? Sadly Steve Harvey has been influenced by guys like T.D. Jakes and the TBN "crew" and has bought into the gospel of greed. I pray that Steve Harvey and those caught up in this perverted system of theology would see the gospel of grace and see Jesus Christ as the ultimate treasure.

T.D. Jake's and New Age Guru's

So Oprah Winfrey's new life class has three well known "New Age" guru's as well as Bishop T.D. Jake's. Amazing that a professing Christian would sit on the stage with three new agers as they come together with Oprah to answer life's questions!

  "Jakes, whose sermons are broadcast both nationally and internationally, did not directly mention Christ during the show, but referenced the Bible when discussing the importance of working hard and making investments in life -- particularly if the returns are not immediately available."

Sadly their are well known preachers who claim Jake's is "The greatest preacher of this generation" and have him come speak at their church's.



Well known Pastor Steven Furtick of Elevation Church in NC,  invited T.D. Jake's to speak at their revival and has since had him come back and preach at their church. Amazingly Furtick says that Jake's is his "favorite preacher in the world" .



This should make even the most faithful defender of T.D. Jake's realize that he has gone WAY to far. When you can sit on stage with three new age gurus and talk about life's questions and NEVER point people to Jesus Christ as life's ultimate and ONLY answer then their is a problem and these well known pastors who are inviting Jake's to come speak to their church of thousands of sheep should STOP immediately and start warning their congregations and people to not be duped and confused by new age thought. (Even though by bringing him into your revivals and pulpits bring's MASS confusion)

The fact the New Age teachers talk about God means NOTHING! Oprah flat rejects that Jesus Christ is the only way to the Father and believe they have a God "within".

Sadly this will confuse those who are not rooted and grounded in biblical theology as I have already have seen with numerous friends who thought Jake's was reliable because their pastors and well known christian leaders have defended Jake's in the past.

Wretched: Driscoll, Jakes, MacDonald and an Elephant

Amazing to see James Macdonald who speaks against "Word Faith Theology" and publicly call it "sickening" a "distortion of the gospel" also it is "False teaching" and yet still invite T.D. Jakes to the Elephant Room and welcome Jakes as a "brother" in Christ even though he blatantly denies the doctrine of the Trinity and teaches a prosperity gospel.

New Birth Crowns Eddie Long as King

This video truly is amazing. The fact that any Pastor would allow the church service where people have come to worship God and give thanks to turn into a show where it is all about how great he is absolutely stuns me.

Eddie Long recently settled a law suit out of court where at least 2 young men say they were coerced into a sexual relationship with him. His wife has divorced him and he settled out of court. The point is that with all these accusations and in light of his recent divorce it amazes me that he would spend a church service to build his ego about how great he is.

This is why we need more biblical theology in the church friends. When you have this man centered Christianity instead of God centered this is what you come up with!

After taking much heat from the Jewish community Eddie Long has issued a statement apologizing for going to far and offending several people.
