John Macarthur Questions and Answers

Dr. Macarthur is a man who has spent his life studying the word of God and being faithful to the text. On occasion he will do an open mic session where he allows members of his church to publicly ask him any question they have.  This is astounding because he may go from talking about eschatology, to the doctrines of grave, to evolution!

He does a great job and I think you will enjoy this!

Becoming a Better You?

Becoming a Better You:
Some of the most popular preaching in America presents a message of positive thinking. The alternative Gospel of Joel Osteen and the prosperity preachers forgoes the cross and advises us to merely “do our best.” At its heart, this is pure legalism of the worst variety. In this message, Dr. John MacArthur examines the alternative gospel of the prosperity preachers and explains why legalism-lite is still legalism.

DOES ROMAN CATHOLICISM PREACH A DIFFERENT GOSPEL?

Larry Wessels, director of Christian Answers of Austin, Texas (YouTube channel: CANSWERSTV, see websites: BIBLEQUERY ORG, HISTORYCART COM & MUSLIMHOPE COM) debates Roman Catholic scholar Dr. Robert Fastiggi of Saint Edward's University located in Austin, Texas on the question of whether the Roman Catholic Church preaches the same Gospel as the Bible does or does it preach a man-made counterfeit. The apostle Paul gave a tremendous warning and threat in Galatians 1: 6-9 concerning the importance of preaching the correct Gospel because the consequence for preaching a false Gospel is eternal damnation for the preacher and his followers ("I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel: which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ. But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed."). This is part 1 of a fast-paced and fiery 2 part debate (also known as the "Reformation Debate"). The differences between the two debaters in this theological war could not be greater. One can then understand why the great Reformer Martin Luther in church history had said, "Previously I said the Pope was the Vicar of Christ. I recant. Now I say the Pope is the adversary of Christ and the apostle of the Devil". Virtually all of the historic confessions of faith of the major Protestant denominations hold that the Pope is the very Anti-Christ mentioned in 2 Thessalonians 2:3-12.

The Grim Reality of the Last Days

(Mark 13:1-13 ESV)

And as he came out of the temple, one of his disciples said to him, “Look, Teacher, what wonderful stones and what wonderful buildings!” And Jesus said to him, “Do you see these great buildings? There will not be left here one stone upon another that will not be thrown down.”
And as he sat on the Mount of Olives opposite the temple, Peter and James and John and Andrew asked him privately, “Tell us, when will these things be, and what will be the sign when all these things are about to be accomplished?” And Jesus began to say to them, “See that no one leads you astray. Many will come in my name, saying, ‘I am he!’ and they will lead many astray. And when you hear of wars and rumors of wars, do not be alarmed. This must take place, but the end is not yet. For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be earthquakes in various places; there will be famines. These are but the beginning of the birth pains.
“But be on your guard. For they will deliver you over to councils, and you will be beaten in synagogues, and you will stand before governors and kings for my sake, to bear witness before them. And the gospel must first be proclaimed to all nations. And when they bring you to trial and deliver you over, do not be anxious beforehand what you are to say, but say whatever is given you in that hour, for it is not you who speak, but the Holy Spirit. And brother will deliver brother over to death, and the father his child, and children will rise against parents and have them put to
death. And you will be hated by all for my name's sake. But the one who endures to the end will be saved.

The Gospel According to Paul: By John Macarthur

"He made one enemy after another, suffered horribly for it, and was abandoned by his friends. But Paul pressed on, compelled by the good news of Jesus Christ. He didn’t lighten up the message, and neither should you. But precisely what is the message you need to understand and be ready to proclaim? Find out in John MacArthur’s new study The Gospel According to Paul.

What would motivate you to make enemies wherever you go and endure continual suffering until, ultimately, you face amartyr’s death?

The apostle Paul went to the extremes he did—had the passion he did—because he knew the God who gives undeserved mercy to the rebel sinner. Paul would not equivocate on the good news of Christ. He could not soften the edges of God’s difficult demands to make the gospel appeal to a wider audience. He didn’t lighten up the message, and neither should you.

But precisely what is the message you need to understand and be ready to proclaim? Are therediscrepancies between what Paul and the other apostles taught? Between Paul’s teaching and the Lord’s? What difference can grappling with The Gospel According to Paul make in your life? Find out in John MacArthur’s compelling study."

John Macarthur on TBN?

Its true. Dr. John Macarthur was interviewed by Kirk Cameron and actually exposed the "prosperity gospel" for the counterfeit that it is.

Whats amazing is that TBN is the biggest Christian television station that there is and the vast majority of their shows are pushing the prosperity gospel
