Are there gaps in the theory of evolution that undermine its credibility? What should we make of "intelligent design"?

Peter Robinson speaks with Massimo Pigliucci and Jonathan Wells.

Oh, by all means, let's fill in the "gaps" with ID. Then He will be God-of-the-gaps!

  2. Thanks for the comment ( Feel free to use your name so I know who I am talking to) but ID is not based on the "God of the gaps".

For example one of the smallest living organisms we know of the amoeba, according to atheist Evolutionist, Richard Dawkins, says that if you were to take all the genetic information from one of these amoebas and were to print the information in book form, it would fill 1,000 complete sets of the Encyclopedia Britannica.

    - Richard Dawkins, The Blind Watch Maker 1987 (17, 18 116)

So this is an example in biology where it is not based on what we do not know but what we do know, that information comes from an informer, if you would like to claim otherwise please provide me with an example of information or intelligence arising without an informer or a mind.

Many of those who accuse ID of being a "god of the gaps" have no problem whatsoever positing "nature of the gaps" and claim that nature can and will eventually explain all that wee see through natural processes.

I think people need to look at the evidence starting from the origin of the universe, life, laws of logic and ethics and see which model fits better with the evidence, Theism or Naturalism.

Anyway thanks for the comment and checking out my blog and feel free to respond to anything I have said, take care
