Why Apologetics/Philosophy?

What happens when the church surrenders the mind? This is a result of the church being intellectually lazy and focusing more on emotions then on the mind. Apologetics is a MUST and until the church in America wakes up and cares more about equipping the saints and teaching doctrine, and dealing with the objections to the Bible put forth by the world, then this will continue to happen.
