What

This rally is a Spirit-birthed response to Charlotte's annual gay pride event. More than one thousand believers will be gathering to worship the Lord, intercede in prayer, and proclaim that "God Has a Better Way"! Nothing like this has ever been done in conjunction with a gay pride event in any city before, and those who join together on this day will be part of history in the making.

Who

Everyone can be involved! If you love Jesus and are walking with Him, then you qualify. We need worshipers, intercessors, musicians, soul-winners, walkers, talkers, and believers of every age, color, and size to stand together as a prophetic witness to our society. Everything we do will be law-abiding, safe, and honoring to the Lord in spirit and in word.

Why

We have a unique opportunity to make an impact in our city that will be felt around the country. In the last five years, gay activism in Charlotte has been confronted with compassion and truth, and we have seen significant changes take place. In January, 2009, Focus on the Family's Citizen magazine carried a story called, "Something New in Charlotte," highlighting the work that has been in done in Charlotte and pointing to it as a model for other cities. We can send a wave of encouragement to our brothers and sisters across the nation!

When

July 25^th, 2009, from 12:00- 3:00 PM. (Those who would like to be a part of our prayer and outreach teams should meet at First Baptist at 11:00 am.)

Where

We will meet together for prayer and instructions at First Baptist Church (301 S. Davidson St.) and then walk together to our designated location, where we will gather for worship, intercession, and outreach.

Beware Christians, Oprah's teachings on God are absolutely toxic. To think that all religions lead to God violates the basic laws of logic.

You can NOT have 2 opposing claims be both true at the same time, in the same sense. Islam says God has no son. Christianity says Jesus is God the Son. They do a bunch of talking and it sounds pretty good, but there views can not get past the laws of logic. Any system that tells you to put the laws of logic to the side will end up in error and be self refuting and contradictory.

Finally they throw Christs name around and the bible around, but do not be deceived, they have a false Christ to which they are talking about, so beware!

Finally, the 21st century Apologist needs to take Apologetics far more seriously. He needs to incorporate Apologetics into every aspect of his or her ministry: every sermon, every class, every evangelistic activity. We have woefully neglected our responsibility to train our young people in the solid case for Christianity, and then we wonder why they depart from the faith under the influence of secular university instruction. We give our parishioners and our missionaries no foundation in the defense of the faith, and then wonder why our evangelistic efforts show so little fruit in a world where people have long moved beyond accepting something just because someone else believes it.
